On last Sunday’s episode of Expedition From Hell: The Lost Tapes, Matt Saxman experienced an almost dying experience while crossing a dangerous river and bridge.
Since the beginning of the series, Matt has not seemed prepared for an expansion like this.

On May 21, 2024, Discovery posted another post saying after falling ill and falling behind, Matt had no choice but to quit the show.
His team members also thought that Matt Saxman would pass away at that particular moment.
Matt’s health condition became worse, and he started vomiting at night. Matt said he is sick and needs a hospital.
However, some fans on Reddit posted that,

In that poll, 21.3% of fans voted on On the first flight home, 30% voted on Rehydrating in a Hotel, 12.5% voted on Exploring the Amazon, and 36.3% voted on Missing!
However, Matt Saxman has yet to state his current location officially. The episode that airs on Sunday, May 27, 2024, will clarify this.
