Meredith Kercher’s parents, Arline and John Kercher, passed away without seeing justice for their daughter as they were deeply hurt by what happened to her on November 1st, 2007.
Meredith Kercher, a British student studying in Italy, tragically lost her life in her room at the age of 21.

After nearly four years, Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito were set free following their acquittal in a second-level trial.
Meanwhile, Rudy Guede served a 16-year sentence and was released from the bars on November 24, 2021.

Arline was born in Pakistan and grew up in India, embracing Asian ethnicity. She and her husband, John, divorced when their four children were young.
Arline raised them in a rundown house in Coulsdon, Surrey, close to London.

During her daughter’s murder investigation and the trials that followed, Meredith Kercher’s mother traveled to Italy only a few times.
The first time was in November 2007, when she had to identify her daughter’s body, which was a heart-wrenching experience.
She returned to Italy again when Rudy Guede was convicted for his role in the homicide and once more to testify in Knox and Sollecito’s trial.
However, she couldn’t attend the rest of the trial due to financial constraints and her need for kidney dialysis in London three times a week.
Also, Arline never found the closure she longed for, as Rudy Guede, who was found guilty of Meredith’s murder, was freed from the lockup after serving 13 years of a 30-year sentence.
Unfortunately, she passed away during the early phase of Covid and was buried next to her beloved daughter in South London.
Meredith Kercher’s Father, John Kercher Dedicated His Memoirs In A Book
John Kercher, the father of British exchange student Meredith Kercher, released his frustration in the book Meredith: Our Daughter’s Murder And The Heartbreaking Quest For The Truth.
Embracing the blend of German and English ancestry, John loved shopping sprees and watching ” Friends ” sitcoms with his daughter, Meredith.
He suffered a stroke in the summer of 2009, initially experiencing dizziness thought to be related to an ear condition.
He wondered if the stress from Meredith’s d**th and the trial affected his health, making him question how many more trips to Perugia he could handle and how much more chaos he could bear.
At 77 years old, he was discovered with fractures to his arm, ankle, face, and ribs, but he couldn’t remember how he got hurt.
Police couldn’t determine if he fell or was hit by a car due to a lack of witnesses.
Sadly, he died from pneumonia a few weeks later, on February 1st, 2020.
