The band’s permanent lineup was established in 2003 when Scott Rutz replaced Coop on drums, joining Olesen and Maranville.

In 2005, they released a self-titled album under Peter Furler’s Inpop Records. During this period, Olesen also played with Newsboys while continuing to create music with Casting Pearls.

Bryan Olesen announced his departure from the Newsboys band a year later after “much discussion and prayerful consideration.”

Now, having made it to the Top 6 after performing “Africa” by Toto, Bryan will compete against Zoe Levert, Karen Waldrup, Tae Lewis, Madison Curbelo, and Nathan Chester for the top spot.
