Tom Bennett, the son of legendary actor Colin Bennett, plays “Ulf The White” in the second installment of House of The Dragon.
Ulf, known as Ulf the White, had hair as white as snow, earning him his distinctive name.
He was a soldier from Dragonstone when the big war, the Dance of the Dragons, started.
Highlights
- According to “A Song of Ice and Fire” books, Ulf white is the descendants of low born families.
- Aemon and Baelon could be the possible family of Ulf White.
- Vaegon and Aegon the Uncrowned seem less likely due to their circumstances during the period.
Ulf stepped up when Prince Jacaerys Velaryon needed people to ride dragons in 129 AC. He got to ride Silverwing, a powerful dragon.
Alongside other dragon seeds like Hugh Hammer, Nettles, and Addam Velaryon, Ulf fought bravely with Jacaerys in the Battle of the Gullet.
Nonetheless, the Dance of the Dragons never notified Ulf White’s parents or the paternity of the dragon seeds.
Ulf White Parents Are Descendants From Low Born Families During Targaryen War
In the “A Song of Ice and Fire” books by George R.R. Martin, Ulf the White and Hugh the Hammer, two important characters during the Dance of the Dragons, were likely born to lowborn families.
Despite their origins, they were chosen to ride dragons during the Targaryen civil war.

These individuals, known as Dragonseeds, were believed to have Targaryen blood, though it was never confirmed.
Despite their uncertain parentage, Ulf and Hugh became significant figures during the conflict, showcasing their skills and abilities in battle.
The Dragonseed, Ulf White, Could Be A Son Of Aemon
Speculating on the possible parentage of Ulf the White and Hugh the Hammer from the Targaryen lineage is quite a puzzle.
If they were first-generation Dragonseeds, then Viserys and Daemon seem the most fitting in terms of age.
However, if they were descendants of Dragonseeds, Aemon and Baelon emerge as potential candidates.
Aemon’s relationship with Jocelyn is a mystery, leaving room for speculation about his involvement.
Meanwhile, considering the timeframe, Baelon’s apparent disinterest in women after Alyssa’s death might not entirely rule him out.
It’s also worth noting that Baelon’s response to Viserra’s advances might suggest he wasn’t keen on further romantic entanglements.
But it’s uncertain whether he fathered any children.
Vaegon and Aegon the Uncrowned seem less likely due to their circumstances during the period, with Vaegon’s disinterest in sex and Aegon’s young age and probable residence in King’s Landing.
Additional Information
