“Agoraphobia struck me very, very quickly.” “It was hell. It was pure, unadulterated hell.”
Only Paula’s husband knew how bad her problems were. She wrote in her memoir,
“Some days I could get to the supermarket, but I could never go too far inside,” she wrote. “I learned to cook with the ingredients they kept close to the door.”
