Morgan Metzer and Rodney Metzer were childhood sweethearts. They started dating when Morgan was only 15 years old.
At 21, Morgan married her long-time boyfriend, Rodney Metzer. Soon after their marriage, they were blessed with twins.

Their marriage ended after 10 years when Morgan filed for divorce after undergoing specific negative behavior from Rodney for years.
Even after their divorce, Rodney kept trying to win Morgan’s heart. He pleaded with Morgan to give him another chance and even faked a cancer diagnosis to gain sympathy.
Rodney also tried the fake abduction of Morgan Metzer so he could rescue her in order to win Morgan’s love back.
In the past, Rodney struggled with anger issues and often engaged in gaslighting, causing Morgan to believe for years that she was to blame for various issues.
Rodney kept coming to the back of Morgan’s house multiple times. He tried to harm Morgan as he didn’t want Morgan to be with another person. Morgan said,
“He had planned on killing me and killing himself. I guess because he couldn’t have me, he didn’t want anybody else to have me. This was all premeditated; it wasn’t just a moment of insanity.”
Once, a masked man entered Morgan’s house on New Year’s Eve night and beat and assaulted her. Rodney pretended to come to her rescue after that attack.
Authorities suspected that the masked man was Rodney Metzer, and they soon caught him.

Later, Rodney himself confessed that he was the man behind the mask and was charged with home invasion, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, abduction, and many more.
Currently, Rodney is in Augusta State Medical Prison in Grovetown, Georgia. He will not be released by authority until 2045.
