Maura Tierney has joined the ensemble cast for Universal Pictures, Warner Bros, and Amblin Entertainment’s Twisters.
Twisters is an upcoming American disaster movie directed by Lee Isaac Chung and produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley.

Maura Tierney Has Underwent Breast Surgery
A famous American actress, Maura Tierney, has revealed that she had surgery in 2009 to remove a breast tumor. Doctors had also assured her that her condition was very treatable.
Her diagnosis delayed the production of her new family drama, Parenthood. She was forced to leave the series due to her illness.
Moreover, Maura has also said,
“I have discovered a tumor in my breast which requires surgery,” Tierney said in her statement. “I will not know either my exact diagnosis or course of treatment until that surgery is performed. My doctors have all assured me this is a very treatable condition. I’m very optimistic as to the outcome and want to thank everyone who has sent positive thoughts and support. I look forward to going back to work soon.”
Additionally, Maura was shocked to hear that she also required 3 months of regular chemotherapy as she has undergone a skin-sparing mastectomy. This procedure leaves the skin intact for reconstruction surgery.
Maura is getting a yearly MRI and mammogram and is focused on staying strong. At the time of surgery, she spent time with her family. She said,
“I think I always kind of lived in the moment. I don’t think [cancer] changed me that way,” she says. “But I spend a lot more time with my family now – that’s one solid difference.”
Maura Tierney Revealed That She Is Healthy After Surgery
Former ER star Maura Tierney has announced that she is healthy after having breast cancer surgery and returned to star in a new crime series.
While undergoing treatment, she lost her long brown hair and was spotted with a new short hair.
After having successful treatment, she said,
“I am good. I am healthy,” she told television journalists. “I wasn’t thinking about doing another TV show, but I responded to the character. She is so serious and so dear.”
Maura Tierney is back with her fantastic role in the action/thriller Twisters, which follows a series of tornadoes to test new technology and gather data on the storms.
