The "Oasis" band members will likely be reunited on the summer tour next year.

Anthony (Tony) McCarroll is an English drummer and one of the founding members of the band “Oasis.”

He played the drums on their debut album, “Definitely Maybe,” and singles “Whatever” and “Some Might Say” from the album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?

As per the band contract, members had to receive a certain percentage of the total sale. However, Tony McCarroll allegedly claimed he did not receive the owed amount.

Moreover, in 1999, Tony filed a lawsuit against the band and sued Oasis for £18 million.

With the help of solicitor Jens Hills, Tony‘s case was settled for £550,000. Furthermore, he agreed to give up future royalties.

The royalties of Oasis band for the members Liam and Noel is about £5.4 million as of 2020.

Furthermore, after Oasis, Tony McCarroll performed with the band Raika in the 2000s.

Tony McCarroll Will Probably Join The Reunion of The Oasis Band Members In The Next Summer Tour

Tony McCarroll is often titled “The Forgotten Man of Oasis.” However, his fans still remember his drumming and stage presence.

On August 31, 2024, Tony was honored with a blue plaque in Kinnitty, an Irish village where he grew up.

Speaking at the Q&A after the plaque, Tony stated how he cut ties with the band in 1995. The drummer says,

‘I’d had enough. I’d had enough of the poking each other and this, that and the other, so I swept the kit out the way and went up to Noel — right up to his face — and said: ‘Don’t you ever talk to me like that.’

Mentioning the events and incidents, Tony states that it was probably the biggest mistake of his life.

However, now the fan might see McCarroll back in the Oasis on the band reunion. On August 27, 2024, the band confirmed they were getting back together after 15 years for a summer tour next year.

Tony McCarroll mentioned that he has yet to be approached by Noel or Liam Gallagher to participate in the 17 shows next year. However, he is keen to be part of a reunion with his former bandmates.
