He mentioned that his condition was too severe to be treated immediately.
He also disclosed that he would need to be put under anesthesia for a full biopsy.
Dragoneer noted that he had been coughing for hours and was unable to sleep due to a high fever.
Additionally, he shared a message from UVA Health, revealing an estimated bill of $25,224.54 for a visit on August 1, which included a prepaid amount of the same figure.

He noted that he was quoted $1,590.40 for a follow-up appointment with a pulmonologist, which, while lower than previous estimates, was still expensive.
He commented on how absurdly expensive it is to get treatment in America due to the Medicaid drama.
Further, he recounted an upsetting experience where a hospital called him to come in to check if he qualified for Medicaid, but he was too ill to go.
The hospital then closed his account, citing his uncooperativeness, which added to his frustration.
