Team USA diver Alison Gibson broke her silence after scoring 0.0 at the 2024 Paris Olympics because of a penalty hitting the springboard.
Gibson, 25, is a United States diver who won the 2017 NCAA diving championship.

Alison Gibson’s Olympic video is going viral on social media. It came to a heartbreaking end on Wednesday after she hit her heels on the board in her first dive.
The shocking moment was captured during the preliminary round of the women’s 3-meter springboard competition on day 12 of the Paris Olympics.
Moreover, the video shows her in the tucked position for her somersault when her feet suddenly collided with the springboard with a long bang.
Gibson fell into the pool as the crowd gasped, and her efforts were judged to be a non-dive.
Although she finished her four remaining dives without incident, for a total score of 198.30, the zero point prevented her from advancing to the semifinals.

While Alison knew everyone expected her to quit the games after the incident, she didn’t want to let that happen and wanted to carry on through highs and lows.
