Veteran cable news anchor and Trump booster Lou Dobbs was survived by his parents and wife until the last breath he took on July 18, 2024.
His passing was announced Thursday in a post on his official Twitter account, which called him,
“fighter till the very end – fighting for what mattered to him the most, God, his family and the country.”

Lou Dobbs Got Huge Support From His Mother, Lydia Mae, And Father Frank Dobbs
Frank Dobbs was born in Childress County, Texas, to his father, Frank Dobbs, and his mother, Lydia Mae.
His father, Frank, co-owned a propane business, and his mother, Lydia Mae, was a bookkeeper.
Frank’s business collapsed when Lou was only 12 years old, and then they moved to Rupert, a farming community of about 2500 people.
However, both of his parents worked hard and still found plenty of time to encourage Lou in his interests.
Every morning, when Lou enters the kitchen, he used to find his father reading the newspaper.
Reading and keeping up with current events and incidents was an integral part of Dobbs’s household. His mother taught him to read before he joined the school. Lou said,
“My mother taught me to read before I even started school,” “I always read well beyond my years.”
During his senior year, his father left the world, which temporarily slowed Lou’s progress.
However, his mother raised him, supporting him financially and emotionally.
Lou Dobbs Got Married Twice In His Life
A political commentator, Lou Dobbs was married to Kathy Wheeler in 1967 but separated in 1981.
Dobbs and Kathy were blessed with two children: Chance and Michelle Dobbs.
Later, in 1982, Dobbs married Debi Segura, a former CNN sports anchor. They had four children: Hilary, Heather, Jason, and Buffie Dobbs.
His daughter Hilary Dobbs is a famous Jockey who has been married to her husband Christian D’Andrea and had a son named Kingston.

Once, Debi Segura was stopped by a baggage screener at Terminal C in Newark Airport as she and her 15-year-old twin girls were heading to Florida to meet her husband, Lou.
Debi was fingerprinted and photographed by the Port Authority cops, and the two girls boarded their continental flight.
After two hours, Segura was released without bail after being charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a crime that carries a maximum prison term of 5 years.
