On July 27, 2019, she posted a photo of herself lying on the bed of a hospital after having a hand surgery following the incident. She captioned,
“Ooops, I did it again! Just a little hand surgery for a fracture that I got rescuing my tortoise off of a hill side.”
Despite the injury, she attended Wally Kurth’s Legendary Bingo event, where her wrapped hand was visible in the photo she posted on Facebook. She wrote,
