Carl Pankey was born to his father, Steve Pankey, and his mother, Angela Hicks, in 1988.
However, his mother filed a divorce against Steve in 2001 and officially separated in 2002.
According to The Times, a college student, Carl, was accidentally assassinated by his girlfriend on July 4, 2008, in Phoenix at the age of 20.
However, the exact incident hasn’t been disclosed by Carl’s parents or any source.
Carl’s tragic demise has deeply affected his mother, Angela Hicks. His family and friends came together to celebrate his life with a memorial service.
At his funeral, Hicks reportedly heard Pankey saying,
“I hope God didn’t allow this to happen because of Jonelle Matthews.”

Moreover, Angela said she witnessed a bizarre moment a day before the service. She said Steve walked up to their son’s urn(used for storing the ashes of a cremated person) and mentioned Matthews.
He grew up with his elder brother, Mark Pankey, 44, born in 1980. He is the first child of Steve and Angela.
Mark is married to his wife, Esther, with whom he lives in Shoshone, United States.
In addition, Carl held American citizenship and was of white American ethnicity, which shaped his identity.
