Augusto Akio’s Japanese heritage has been a primary concern since he won the bronze medal at the Skate Park World Championships in the Olympics 2024.

Akio, 23, born on December 12, 2000, exceeded himself to win with 91.85 points.

Moreover, in the skateboarding community, Akio is famous because of his nickname “Japinha,” which means “Little Japanese Guy” in Portuguese, a sign of his mother’s heritage.

On May 14, 2023, Augusto went to Makuhari Messe, Tokyo, Japan, for the shoot of his skateboarding skills.

Skateboard Star Augusto Akio Got A Supportive Parents

Augusto Akio’s parents have supported him in pursuing a career in Skateboarding since childhood.

His mother insisted on Akio’s love for Skateboarding. Inspired by watching skateboarding on TV, he wrote a letter to Santa Claus for a Christmas Skateboard.

Later, his mother bought him a new skateboard, which was very straight with only a slight curvature but didn’t have the concave.

His father always hoped he would do something great in Skateboarding and be the best version of himself.

Akio shares a close relationship with his family. On May 26, 2014, he uploaded his family photo on his Instagram handle, saying,
